MORE ABOUT BROOKE

How It All Started
I was born and raised in Seattle, WA, where I played just about every sport growing up. But when the time came to focus on one, hockey won. That decision took me across the country to Boston, where I played for the nationally ranked Division I Northeastern University women’s ice hockey team.

Along the way, I picked up some cool awards—including the Patty Kazmaier Award, given to the best women’s collegiate hockey player in the country. I also had the incredible opportunity to play for the U.S. Women’s National Team before finishing my pro career in the NWHL with teams in Brampton, ON, and Vancouver, BC.

From Player to Coach & Athletic Director
After earning my Bachelor’s in Business Administration, I took a deep dive into coaching and athletic administration. I spent a few years at the University of Connecticut, getting my Master’s in Sport Management while coaching the UConn women’s hockey team.
Then came my next adventure—coaching at Boston College and recruiting top high school players.
That’s when I realized:
-
The college recruiting process is overwhelming for players and families.
-
A lot of talented athletes miss opportunities because they don’t know how to navigate it.

So, I took on a new challenge as Associate Athletic Director & Girls’ Varsity Hockey Coach at Lawrence Academy—helping athletes develop their skills on and off the ice. Over three years, 15+ of my players went on to play NCAA Division I & III hockey.

More Coaching, More Hockey
Beyond my full-time roles, I spent years coaching at:
-
Local, regional, and national hockey camps, clinics, and tournaments
-
USA Hockey Player Development Camps as a Head Regional Evaluator & National Camp Coach
-
Selection camps for future U.S. and Canadian National Team players

Working with elite athletes at every level gave me a full-circle perspective on what it takes to grow the game and help players reach the next step.

Shifting Gears: Program & Operations Management in Business & Marketing
As much as I loved coaching, I was ready to take on a new challenge—one that combined my passion for sports, business, and strategy in a new way.
